May Run Collective
May 27 2016 // Edmonton, AB
Wednesday nights in May for me were spent at Run Collective with all of these fine folks. Every week, rain or shine—mostly rain—there is a smiling group of runners that head out from Lululemon on Whyte Ave. at 6:15pm.
The Run Collective is one of many programs the Lululemon Community store on Whyte Ave is home to, and consists of a number of coaches helping runners train for various races and paces. The Run Collective motto: Life is too short to run at the same pace.
For me Wednesday nights is part of a bigger project photographing running in Edmonton, and I am having a blast. I can’t thank everyone enough who comes out, smiles, and puts up with me sticking a camera in your face. Or tolerates me hiding in the bushes from across the street. Or obliges when I say step close to the lense for a big splash while laying in a puddle.
I’m looking forward to the next few months with all of you; capturing you train for, and achieve your goals. I’ll be in Calgary covering the Calgary marathon, so feel free to fire me an email/DM/IM/carrier pigeon your race goals and bib number, and I’ll keep an eye out for ya on the course.
Enjoy the photos from May. It’s been quite the ride in and out of the river valley with you this month, and I look forward to doing it some more in June!
