Logan Pletz — Canada Winter Games Gold in 12 Frames
February 21 2019 // Red Deer, Alberta
With some down time from travel and producing content, I want to do more with some content I’ve captured the last couple years. Starting with the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, and Logan Pletz’s gold medal win in the 12.5 km Individual Male Biathlon event on February 21, 2019.
I head out to the River Bend Golf and Recreation Area where the 12.5 km Individual events are being held. It is -24C overnight so feels almost like spring and the sun is shining, so I’m feeling great. Logan has a shot at not just a medal, but the gold, so the stoke is extra high. I’m packed light and in tights so I can move quickly around the small looped course for a few different shots.
The game plan is simple, follow Logan to shoot his day, catch what I can of everyone else, then get out of dodge — on to the next venue.
La fin.
