Allison’s Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon 2016
October 21 2016 // Edmonton, Boston, St. Marys, Toronto, Los Angeles
Planes, trains, and running maps…I captured it all. From Edmonton to Toronto via Boston, Romulus Michigan, London, and St. Mary’s Ontario we did the full planes, trains, and automobiles pre-race taper for Allison’s marathon.
It was a year dedicated to this race.
A run coach, balanced cross-training, and a lot of KMs put in on the trails of the Edmonton River Valley. That effort walked Allison to the start line on race day. And despite the bonkers week prior to the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Allison PB’d the living snot out of her first marathon in almost 6 years—to the day—with a time of 3:48:49. A full twenty-one minutes faster than her previous personal best.
