2016 Calgary Marathon
June 3 2016 // Calgary, AB
My plan for the 2016 Scotia Bank Calgary Marathon was to scout the course the day before. Setup my spots, my schedule, and I was going to not only capture the story of the race, but also individual runners. I had it all planned out. Yeah…
Like the racers I’ve come to assimilate with by following around Edmonton’s River Valley, I’ve been training for race day. My chance at showcasing all the practice I’ve been putting in on the bike following the River City Runners and Run Collective over the last month.
And, like the racers say…you don’t pick your race day.
I had a bad race day. I battled, and I definitely got a set, but I didn’t get what I came to get. Needless to say, I’ll have another race day. Calgary has won 2 years in a row now, leaving me injured and dejected.
I’ll get my redemption Calgary. Your as(s)phalt is mine in 2017.
Enjoy my photos from the 2016 Calgary Marathon.
